A team is a group of friends, colleagues and/or family members who want to create a cancer-free world. Teams have more fun fundraising and training. Share the amazing journey of participating in the Anti-Cancer Challenge.

Anyone can join your team-riders, runners, walkers, volunteers, and kids can all join forces on one team. Teams can also include a mixture of family members, friends, co-workers and acquaintances. Let’s beat cancer together-invite everyone you know to join your team!

We encourage you to rally at least 10 members for your team.


Anyone can start a team. Chances are you know at least one other person who cares about cancer who will join you virtually. We encourage teams to try and recruit at least 10 participants. 

Don’t be shy; start your team today. We have a Team Captain Guide to answer all your team questions. All you need is a great team name. If you’re having a hard time thinking of a catchy name, let Google do the work for you. Then register your team. 

Here is what you need to start a team:

  • Find your perfect team name before you register.
  • Determine your team fundraising goal. Teams achieve more than individual participants; set the goal high.
  • Once you complete registration, set up your team fundraising page to share what the team is about. Add a photo and share a story to encourage your team to reach the team fundraising goal.
  • Start recruiting everyone you know!


Joining a team is easy. Click here and enter the team name in the Search Team section in the left. Once you find the team you would like to join, click on the team name and then hit the Join Team button on the right. When you join a team, the team captain will receive an email letting them know they have a new team member.


Teams are eligible for awards in four categories: largest team, top fundraising team, most spirited team and best dressed.
