Welcome to My Personal Page
On May 19th I will be riding 36 miles as a member of Team Aldrich in UCI’s Anti-Cancer Challenge. This year the goal is to raise $1 million to assist new start up cancer research initiatives at UCI’s National Cancer Center. I am riding in honor of my Dad, Chancellor Dan, who fought Colon Cancer using a new therapy at the time that gave him an additional two years of life. Despite his fine UCI doctor’s efforts, he lost his fight just shy of his 72nd birthday, amazingly that was 28 years ago. Now I, his son and name sake, am nearly 74 and additionally had the honor and privilege at the conclusion of my professional career to serve the campus as Interim Vice Chancellor for Advancement. During that period, my wife and I further grew an immense love of the campus and all who support it and its many incredible works. We know you each have many calls on your resources but should you be moved to join me in this noble effort, in whatever fashion, you can become a member of Team Aldrich and help me make the ride and assist in the achievement of the overall campus GOAL. Learn more at Anti-CancerChallenge.org.
Warmly, Daniel G. Aldrich, III
