2018 Anti-Cancer Challenge

Tide Turners @ UCI Applied Innovation

UCI Applied Innovation will be joining the greater UCI community for the 2018 UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge - an event that will save lives through fundraising for groundbreaking cancer research. 100% of the proceeds will be used to fund cancer research at the UC Irvine Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.  As one of only 47 National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer centers, the innovative research done at UCI is developing new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

This year's Challenge starts at 9:00am on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Orange County Great Park. You can join the Tide Turners @ UCI Applied Innovation team as a:

  • 5K runner or walker
  • Bike rider of any distance or a stationary bike rider
  • Volunteer or virtual participant (you don't even have to break a sweat!)

Please click the link to the right to join our team today!  Whether or not you walk, run, ride, or volunteer, please consider making a donation or help fundraise for this great cause in honor of our Applied Innovation colleagues and friends that have been affected by cancer in the short time we have been a group on campus.  Please know that a financial contribution is not required to participate on the team. We welcome anyone who wants to join us for a fun, healthy outing!
