Welcome to LeeAnn's fight against cancer!
I'm LeeAnn Brill from Henderson, NV. Five years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3C breast cancer. I decided to seek treatment at University of California Irvine, Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, a nationally recognized cancer research hospital in Orange. Since then, I have travelled more miles in the air and on the road than I can count. I have spent 359 nights in the Doubletree Orange. Their staff made me feel I was home at the most difficult time of my life, especially during the holiday season of 2015 when I spent 9 consecutive weeks there. I've endured 31 infusions, 3 surgeries and 33 rounds of radiation. I've had chemo induced pneumonia, nosebleeds and occlusion of the main vein in my retina. My lung is scarred from radiation. I've been poked, prodded, tested and had more doctor appointments than I thought I would in a lifetime.
Cancer is such a difficult journey. It doesn't discriminate and affects people of all ages from babies and young children to older adults. I want to make sure that we eliminate cancer and no more families are affected by this horrible disease. That's why I'm asking you for a donation to the Anti-Cancer Challenge, which is a non-profit fundraising event where every participant dollar raised goes to cancer research. Our researchers will stop at nothing to beat cancer! I hope you will consider my request to aid the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge. Every dollar counts!
Thank you for your help!
