It's that time of year again: The annual Anti-Cancer Challenge at the University of California, Irvine. We are fundraising for critical cancer research by walking, running, and cycling. This cause is personally significant because I lost my beloved husband and best friend, Roger Steinert, to glioblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer. Our children lost their dad and stepdad. And our grandchildren and future grandchildren lost the opportunity to know an exceptional human being. I'm sure some of you have lost a special someone too soon, so let's work together and make this terrible diagnosis a thing of the past.
Our team is Superman's Squad, with 75 team members strong! I am forever grateful to Sao, Dr. Garg, and Dr. Kupperman for their help in assembling this year's team at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute. And a huge thank you to everyone who has pledged their support and joined our team.
While I'm encouraged by the support I've already received, I still need help reaching my fundraising goal of $5,000. Could you contribute to my fundraiser? A gift of any amount would mean the world to me.
It would also mean a lot if you could share my fundraiser link on social media. The more exposure I get, the faster I reach my fundraising goal.
