Today, we're reaching out to ask you to join us again in supporting groundbreaking research that can provide meaningful insights into our understanding of cancer prevention, treatments and cures - to save lives.
100% of your contribution funds pilot projects and early phase clinical trials. This allows researchers to produce critical preliminary data that justifies continued investigation of their innovative concepts.
Since 2017, the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge has collectively raised over $3.7 million to support a remarkable 100 diverse projects. In addition, $33.3 million in extramural funding from government agencies and private foundations has been awarded to UC Irvine researchers for grants that stemmed from UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge pilot projects, a testament to the potential of the research to produce important outcomes.
These aren't just numbers; they're proof that our work matters. Join us this year to make an impact and honor those we've lost and all those who still fight. Please also consider attending Challenge Day on Saturday, October 7 at the UCI campus to ride, run or walk with the community for this amazing cause.
Your support – no matter the size – is truly appreciated.
