Cancer touches all of us with profound and lasting impact on our lives. I've personally experienced it in the loss of my beloved father, grandmother, and uncle. I still feel their loss acutely even though they have been gone years to decades.

We have an opportunity to help in the search for the cure. UCI, as one of the leading cancer research institutions, is making great strides including in ophthalmology.

I ask you, my friends and family to join me on October 11th at UCI for a 5K or 10K Walk/Run to contribute what we can in UCI's endeavor in the search for the cure.
