2024 REGISTRATION OPENS FOR 8TH ANNUAL UCI ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE
ORANGE, CALF., March 13, 2024 — The 2024 UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 for its eighth year dedicated to raising funds and awareness for critical cancer research. Registration for the annual event launched on World Cancer Day, inviting individuals to ride, run or walk in-person at UCI Aldrich Park or participate virtually.

THE 2023 UCI ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE RAISES $1 MILLION FOR CRITICAL CANCER RESEARCH
ORANGE, CALF., Dec. 14, 2023 — A record 3,800 participants who turned out for the seventh annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge raised more than $1 million to support cancer research at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and its pediatric affiliate, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).

2022 UCI ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE RAISES RECORD-BREAKING $1 MILLION FOR PROMISING CANCER RESEARCH
IRVINE, CALIF., Nov. 8, 2022 — On Saturday, Oct. 8, more than 3,000 UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge participants, donors and supporters gathered at UCI Aldrich Park for the first time since 2019 to ride, run and walk for innovative cancer research. Together, they helped raise $1 million to fund promising cancer pilot projects and early phase clinical trials.

THE 2022 UCI ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE EVENT IS BACK IN-PERSON TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CRITICAL CANCER RESEARCH

ORANGE, CALIF., June 22, 2022 – The sixth annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, a ride, run and walk event dedicated to raising funds for critical cancer research, will resume on-site activities on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 at the main UCI campus after two years of hosting only virtual events.

UCI ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE FUNDS 12 ADDITIONAL RESEARCH GRANTS, TOTALING 72 PROJECTS FUNDED IN FIVE YEARS

ORANGE, CALIF., June 22, 2022 – As a result of the 2021 UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, 12 grants were awarded to UCI physician-scientists to fund pilot projects and early phase clinical trials at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

ORANGE, CALIF., April 6, 2021 - Registration is open for the fifth annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge-a virtual ride, run, walk event to raise awareness and funds for promising cancer research at the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center based in Orange County that is designated by the National Cancer Institute.
 

2020 ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE RAISES A RECORD $735,000 FOR UNIVERSITY CANCER RESEARCH

ORANGE, CALIF., July 22, 2020 –Pivoting from a traditional one-day festival attended by thousands to eight weeks of virtual webinars and fitness challenges, the fourth annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge united people in 45 states and Canada in a movement to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Over the course of the challenge, participants raised an event-record $735,000 for promising cancer research at the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

2020 ANTI-CANCER CHALLENGE GOES VIRTUAL

ORANGE, CALIF., July 22, 2020 – UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, a movement to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, is going virtual for 2020 in order to maintain social distancing and safeguard participant health. The reimagined Anti-Cancer Challenge now includes an eight-week virtual fundraising and wellness program that connects people around the local community and across the nation.

IRVINE, CALIF., April 6, 2020 - The fourth annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, a ride, run and walk to support cancer research at the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, has been moved from Saturday, June 6, 2020 to Saturday, October 3, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
