I’m Bruno and I'm participating in the UC Irvine Anti-Cancer Challenge.

I'm participating because cancer has hit my Doggie Mom's (Debra Curran) family hard this year. Her dad, Dave Dusenbury, fought multiple cancers over the years, and recently lost his last battle and passed away on August 18, 2026. Her 15-year old cousin, Cadence, lost her battle with brain cancer on May 8, 2026.

My Doggie Mom signed me up as a team member before her dad passed to help motivate our teammates to raise more money. (She thought I could raise more money than her, because I'm much cuter).

The team will award prizes to team members who raise more money than me, or who get more donations than me.

My Doggie Mom wants to make a difference by making sure that we are making strides in beating this awful disease.

This is the 10-year anniversary of the event that helps fund lifesaving cancer research at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and CHOC, part of Rady Children’s Health.

For a decade, this community has helped launch innovative pilot projects and early phase clinical trials that can lead to new advances in cancer prevention, treatment and cures and your support keeps that momentum going.
