The support of a community is immeasurable. Just over 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that required a great deal of medical care to enable my recovery. Survivorship is a never ending process and I am beyond grateful for my community who continues to support me as well as my family. Now that I am on the other side of the hospital walls, as a medical student at UCI, I would like to raise awareness for the quality of work done by the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and CHOC. These medical facilities are instrumental in the lives of cancer patients, providing them the care needed to not only survive, but thrive.
I hope you can join me in fundraising to support UC Irvine’s fight against cancer. Thank you all in advance and I look forward to seeing you on October 11th to run, walk or bike for a cure!
