16 years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma so unfortunately, I know the fear of being told you have cancer and also the joy of surviving the disease. I am one of the fortunate ones, it was diagnosed early, I had great medical care, and the treatment was easily available. My goal in participating in the 10th Annual UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge is to have others avoid being told they have cancer but if unfortunately, they have that conversation with their physician, they have the support they need and there is up to date treatment. 100% of the funds raised from the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge goes directly to support cancer research at UCI. As a result of the funds generated from the ACC, numerous research projects have been started, and many have led to the development of new lifesaving treatments. On Saturday, October 10th, I will be riding my bike 60 miles to raise money and show support for this impactful event. If you are able, please help support the lifesaving research and donate to my UCI Anti-Cancer fundraising. Thank you!!
